Advanced ionic filtration is achieved by embedding nanoparticles of copper metal in the activated charcoal contained in the Waterfall filter. When bacteria, or other types of microbes, interact with the copper metal, it triggers the production of copper ions. These doubly charged positive ions are effective at destroying the unwanted invaders
